Short vowel worksheets

When kids start to learn to read, they begin with matching sounds to letters. These kindergarten phonics worksheets help students practice matching pictures to short vowels. Students are given pictures, asked to sound out the word, and then match the picture to the vowel in that word (e.g. ‘wig’ – vowel is ‘i’).
