Avoid notario fraud

A “notario” or “notary public” does not have any specialized immigration knowledge and is authorized only to corroborate someone’s identity on a letter or form.

Be wary if a provider does any of these:

• Asks you to sign blank documents

• Refuses to give you a contract for their services

• Refuses to show their license or accreditation

• Guarantees positive results

• Claims a special relationship to an immigration officer or judge that will benefit your case.
